Capitec has a system that is similar to the eWallet used by FNB, this is know as “send cash” but most people prefer to call it “cash send”. It makes it easier to send money to non Capitec users and have them withdraw it from a Capitec ATM or one of the big supermarkets.

- Login to your remote banking app.
- Tap transact.
- Choose which account to send the money from.
- Enter the amount you want to send.
- Create a 4-digit secret code. To be used by your recipient when withdrawing.
- Confirm the transaction.
You will receive an SMS with the reference number, you need the reference number and the secret code in order to withdraw the money. Both of these should be sent to your recipient. The money can be withdrawn at any Capitec ATM , Shoprite, Checkers, Usave, Game, Makro, Pick n Pay or Builders store.
When collecting from the store, you will have to tell them that you have a cash transfer from Capitec. They will request the reference number and the pin and your personal details like your name, surname and cell phone number.
