Transact between accounts
Login to your Capitec remote banking app, enter your remote PIN. If you want to transfer money from a Capitec savings account to another account. This may be a budget account or funeral cover or anything like that.
Click on transact at the bottom of the screen, it will give you a load of options; click on “transfer money”. Then proceed to click the account that you want to transfer money to. This only applies between two of your Capitec accounts.
Click on pay beneficiary
To transfer money from your Capitec app to another bank account; you will have to use the “pay beneficiary” option. Which is very quick and easy, all you have to do is enter the details of the bank account you want to send the money to.
Click on “transact” or just click on “Pay beneficiary” if you are using the new Capitec app. The option should be on your home screen. You will be given an option to enter their account detail, which will be their account number, bank and their name.
The name doesn’t have to be their real name, even a nickname will work just fine from my experience. This applies if you want to transfer money to another bank. However, you will only be required to enter the number phones of your beneficiary if he/she is a Capitec client.
This will take you to a page that allows you to enter the amount of money that you want to send. Just make sure that it’s not set to automatically debit every month, it should be set to “just once”. The transaction should take a day or two to reflect, it’s usually on the next day. You can also require an immediate payment, but that comes with some charges.
